The East coast of Malaysia has faced the worst flood in history. As Derek Van Dam said, the reasons for this flood are "Strong high pressure develops over Eastern Europe and China and strengthens northeasterly winds from the South China Sea, bringing heavier rainfall over Malaysia, Indonesia and southern Thailand. And it's going to get worse. Another 100 millimeters (4 inches) of rain could fall over the next two days near the Malaysia-Thailand border".
According to federal minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamad '"We would estimate a total loss of RM932 million for Kelantan but I would personally estimate total losses for the whole of Malaysia to reach up to RM2 billion." Truthfully, in my opinion the victims not only suffered in terms financially, some also went through the heartbreak of losing their love ones. As reported by the news there is a total lost of 21 lives and almost a quarter of a million people has been displaced in this incident. It is is saddening to hear this news all we can do now is #Prayfortimur and donate fundamental necessities and money. Many of organisations have offered help during this hardships, some even volunteered to en travelled there to help with relocation of the victims and savaging whatever there is left.
Our country's economy is heavily affected for the past few months, we have encounter some major incidents which left unforgettable memories in our mind. All in all, I hope that Malaysian will give their supports, so that the situation in East coast will subside and the victims will finally get to return to their respective homes and live their normal lives.
